The Viper has been a huge failure so I guess they are trying everything they can . There is 2013 fully loaded GTS at my dealer in Charleston that had a 140k MSRP and is still sitting on the lot at 98k !!!!

It is not just the number that matters anymore,
With RWD for instance I don't find myself wanting more HP as personally I believe the car will have more traction issues !! And probably instead of saving off 0.3-0.5 sec you will be looking at 0.1 sec zero to 60 yet Quarter Mile may get to low 11's and who knows high 10's and I am talking about F10 M5 |

If the snake gets blown it will be more than a 130 hp increase. I see at least 200 hp or why bother with the extra supercharger and related piping weight for a measly 130 hp gain?

I've been saying it for years...high Horsepower is useless if it can't be applied. I've always hated the Viper and the fact that it has all this HP is irrelevant. I see many American cars putting these high HP/TQ numbers but they're not getting traction till over 70mph.
I watched a street race recently with a GT500 with alleged 800hp racing a 991GT3. Roads were cold. They did it from a start and from 50mph. The GT3 smoked it both times. Fortifies my saying. |

Don't get me wrong looks beautiful but common Do you really wanna be neck breaking Gast with your kids in the back !! I have no doubt my kids will grow up to be horrible drivers just because of riding with me in my M5 and thinking this is how to "normally" drive - |

Time to just get an s550 with a driver. I don't want to be beaten by mustangs in the future so why don't we all just get wasted in the back seat and never worry about tickets again.
