Bro look in the DIY section. It's about the easiest mod you can do. Just do it in a hot/dry enviornment and have a powerful heater aimed at the headlight (not too close) or have a blowdryer on a hand.

To replace the H8 angel eye bulbs with LEDs, you pop the top covers of the headlights off and this allows for moisture to get in...the slightest amount of moisture gets n the head light housing and your screwed....The low beams (HID'd - Metal Halide I believe) get a dab of water on then and they WILL blow, maybe the next day, maybe youll get a few months out of them...

Unlike the H8 Angel Eye bulbs, changing the OEM HID low beams is a 1-2 hr job and either required removal of the bumper or the front wheels...Requires torques heads that you probably only have if your a mechanic, and obviously you prob wouldnt have asked this question if you were, and OH YEA, the single HID Bulb is $200 from BMW...

Im about to undertake this job , and i BEG you to learn from my stupidity. If you doubt yourself, pay a pro, preferably a bmw expert...

Before I tear my car apart, Im putting the stock halogen H8's in, drying the visable moisture from the housing and seeing if warranty will cover it while theyre replacing the tranny...

God speed.

Check my posts OP. I've done over 300 sets in the NY/tristate. And check my reputation. Thanks.

OP,

I know Tom personally and he is probably one of the most if not the most reputable go to guy for headlight work in the area.

In fact, I am going to probably have him do a much more involved low beam swap very soon, and eventually a complete custom overhaul.

Was just saying that if you have any mechanical experience or knowledge, it's one of the less involved projects....

But I will deff vouch for Tom 110%...In fact, even an experienced mechanic such as myself managed to create a much more costly problem by making a small error while doing my LED install, so allow me to back track and say just get it done right the first time by a pro...(Tom is about as good as it gets).

Sorry for any confusion i may have caused...
