Passenger Seat Sub only not working/no sound

Always felt the balance was off in my M3, so I tried turning full balance to the right only and I have no bass at all. Bass is fine on driver's side. I have enhanced audio. Is it worth it to take out seat and check if just a lose cable? Dealer is swamped and said make appointment in two weeks (it is under warranty).

Thanks

Let the dealer mess with it. If there is another dealer nearby I would try checking with them or talking to their service manager so see if they can squeeze you into there swamped schedule.

No dealer really close (40 miles). I can survive until then. Is it more likely a bad sub, loose wire or the amp?

I had exactly the same issue. It's not the speaker, it's your amp. Tried like hell to get them to replace under warranty but because there was some sound coming out, they said it was still working! Driving on a bad stretch concrete one day the floor sub crackled and then came on huge, great sound, for about 10 mi, then out again. I went back to the dealer and explained it all to them, was relentless because I knew I was right and what the issue was. Finally they agreed to a new amp under warranty, replaced it and the stereo is very good now no more issues since.

Definitely no sound at all from the right subwoofer. My dealer is pretty good.

Pulled the seat and checked the sub. No loose wires and sub made no sound or movement at all. Nothing obvious, so will take to dealer to see what needs to be fixed.

P.S. Seat is effing heavy!

Well dropped off Thursday to fix (and a small roof issue). Was told today that the parts just came and they are working on it. Said it was the subwoofer (which the parts guy told me they do not stock). Hopefully will be done tomorrow.

Subwoofer replaced, will pick up tomorrow. Tired of the X1 loaner.
