Compact Spare for Carbon Ceramics?

Hello - Has anyone had luck building or finding a compact spare wheel & tire for M3/4s equipped with the carbon ceramic brakes? I've seen Greg's solution for the spare on cars with the steel brakes. It'd be great if a vendor (like tom @ eas for example ) could put something together; it looks like there might be demand at least for a group buy.

Or are there any other solutions out there? Granted my experience is very abnormal (+13 flats in ~5-years), but after some time reading threads & comments on the forum, it sounds like I also need to worry about tire changes and clowns damaging the carbon rotors.

Damn. I definitely meant to post this as a Wheel/Tire thread...

No thoughts anyone?! Kind of make or brake (lol) for me with the CCBs given my issues with flats and stuff. This would definitely help me decide.

Mobility kit is in the trunk. If your damage is worse than that There's an SOS button inside the car.

Thanks. I'm aware of these items. I'm specifically asking about a spare so I don't need to use either of those items.

Well as you know there's no room for it under the trunk floor, so you might as well keep a full size 19" wheel in the trunk. Perhaps a 19" wheel from the i3 since it's a 19x5 and probably very light and the tire is a 185

I keep a full size wheel in my E92 now and it takes up all the space, which is why I'm trying to find a compact solution that also accommodates the carbon brakes. The i3 wheel is an interesting idea. Porsche has spare wheels for their cars with carbon brakes, so I'm sure BMW can figure it out.

I don't have CCBs, but if I can't air the tire up, I'm just going to call a tow. FTBS.

I've already accepted that fate.

You should check out BimmerZone's compact spare for non-CCB. It's worth the small price for that piece of mind and doesn't appear to take up a lot of space in the trunk.

If you get towed by anyone it could take hours. And, if you get towed by BMW they'll only take you to a dealership, some (and probably all) of which won't repair tires, only replace them. Better to have the option to change the tire quickly and take it anywhere you want.

Trust me, I'm an expert on flat tire nightmares...

I already have a dynaplug plug kit and plan on buying a portable air compressor along with a screwdriver and set of pliers. If I can't fix it on my own then I'll resort to a tow.

A bit more work than just throwing the spare on but it would save me the time in having a shop fix it.

I can say that the next time I go on any long trip I'm taking a spare! I got stranded on the HWY 1 with no cell service and a flat tire. I called SOS button and well 5 hours later (no exaggerating) the tow truck showed up. Getting SOS to find me was pointless, it was not the best experience. Def going to take a spare if I go anywhere off the beaten path. That was a long long day

I think I'll definitely get one for longer trips, but I don't think I'll be lugging that around all the time.
