E88 ABS Pump

My wife's car has 21K miles. it is a 2008 128i cabriolet. The ABS/ brake/DSC lights are all on and at first an ABS was the culprit. Took it again to the dealer and they said it was the ABS pump and gave me a 4K estimate for parts alone. Anybody have this issue and what did you do? I can drive without ABS it is just annoying to see all this lights on. Thanks

If I buy a remanufactured pump does anyone know how to code it to the car?

Thanks for the response the problem with the third party is that they do not have the equipment or know how to code the newer cars. I have the I-Carly because I coded my own battery because the third party did not know how and the dealer was an arm and a leg.

In fact I have a car at the dealer for recalls since September 2015

Can anyone confirm that if I buy the ABS assembly (used) I will need to code it to the car? Thanks
