M3 Sedan NOT available in Space Grey....?

My brochure says its available, plus there are so many pictures of the sedan in space grey. When my dealer tried to put in the order today for an M3 sedan with metallic space grey as the color, it did not allow him to do so. Is it not available or are we missing something? I had my heart set on that color for the sedan! Graphite is too dull and Silverstone is too bright!

I'm right there with you....

It sucks, but Space Gray isn't available on the M3 Sedan... only the Coupe.

There's not a single M3 sedan shwon in space grey I'm aware of. The brochure pictures show an M3 sedan in silverstone II, which may be mistaken for space grey.

It seems to be that because the e90 3 series is not available in Space Gray, so must be the e90 M3. Probably a limitation of the manufacturing situation. However, the e90 is about to face-lifted, and will probably get new colors. So they may add Space Gray or some other new gray of a similar tone.

Along those same lines, I was expecting to see Arctic silver as a M3 sedan color choice, but it didn't make the lineup. Perhaps a sign of things to come for the 3 series...

Arctic seems to be more favored by women, which might be why it was not chosen for the M3. Also, there are no 3 series sedan exlusive colors, and that is likely the reason why there are no M3 sedan exclusive colors.

Hey varun, are you buying from BMW of Austin? If you don't mind my asking, what number are you on the sedan list?

I'd strongly consider space gray as well, but, as stated above, it's available on the coupe only. I'm getting silverstone....

Hey Sean. I am told I'm #2 for the sedan, I'm wondering who is #1 in front of me. Is it you? I believe they have already put my order in and got confirmation for the same. I had to go with Silverstone II which was my 2nd choice after Space grey. We should take the pair of sedans for a cruise sometime... it will be quite the jaw dropping sight

Hey Varun,

I'm #4, after switching from the coupe about a month ago. I had been #20 on the coupe list, put my deposit down about a year ago, but the sedan suits me better.

Congrats on your order, I guess my turn is coming up soon. I'd better make my final decisions on options! What interior and transmission did you choose? I change my mind on a daily basis, which is half the fun I suppose...

Hopefully a drive into the Hill Country and a photo shoot for the forum will be a possibility this summer!

Cheers,

Sean

Lots of similarity here! I put my deposit down a little over a year ago for the coupe, but changed my mind and shifted to the sedan in december. Its definately a more practical choice and the lines on the sedan looks awesome IMO.

My options changed a few times but I ended up on the Silverstone II 6 speed sedan, silver novillo extended leather and sycamore anthracite wood trim. Premium and Technology package, 19 inch wheels, moonroof, premium sound (daylight robbery at $1900) and some other goodies like ipod and PDC. I'm not happy about the gas guzzler tax or destination charge, I feel they should 'waive' one of them or work with us on that.

Here's the best part, as soon as the car is ready, im taking delievery in Munich. I cannot have it sit on the boat for a month the wait will just kill me!

Oh you'll have a wait alright - for the 6 weeks it takes for re-delivery.

But ED is certainly well worthwhile nevertheless.

Yes the re-delivery will be a wait but i'll have driven it all over Europe for a few weeks and that will be fun. Anyone know anything about track days at the ring in Germany?
