Transmission Mounting Bolt aluminum Replaced with steel?

i heard that the aluminum bolts that you have to replace on the transmission are now steel bolts is this true? anybody confirm?

I'm not sure but this seems unlikely. In a lot of cases aluminum bolts are used since they are in contact with aluminum parts (engine block, frame, etc). The reason steel is not used it a process called galvanic corrosion where two types of metal in direct contact create a battery in the prescience of moisture and rapid corrosion occurs. They may now be steel but they would need a coating or isolator like a rubber washer at minimum. The parts guys at your local dealer should be able to tell you for sure.

Yes they are now steel-that is 100% correct.

i just got my AT replaced by the dealer it has all the supporting parts on it if you need a part number or anything on the reciept.
