Question Leased M4.... Wheel Spacers ??

Hey Guys,

I know there are plenty of threads on Wheel spacers but couldn't find much about putting them on a leased M.

Any issues with this from Service dept?? I know that dealers will vary there opinion but I meant over all across the board does it seem to be an issue?

and can someone please explain to me the difference between these 3 set ups.

12f 12r square set up

15f 12 r staggered and larger in front

12f 15 r staggered and larger in rear.

whats the difference in handling/ ride quality in square vs staggered. especially since the wheels are already staggered?

I will more than likely remain on stock tires.

other alternative if spacers seem to be a bad way to go on leases is just going with a 275 front 295 rear when these tires wear out.

Thanks for your help..

I included a poll on which set up you would recommend for Stock NOT lowered.

Thanks Tom,

I will def give you a call..

I don't understand the difference between square and staggered and it confuses me even more as the wheels come staggered and yet some go to a square set up on the spacers yet the wheels sizes remain the same.. thus still be staggered..

holy confusion.. you can tell im new to this.

Front wheels are set inward slightly more than the rears, which is why a slightly larger spacer is used.

The end result is all 4 wheels flush with the fenders.

Alpha, i am a service advisor at a northeast dealership, unless you complain of vibration or rubbing issues from the wheels i can assure you that you will catch no amount of flak from your local dealer.

IMHO, 15mm front and 12mm rear looks the best. Classy when lowered.

You can go a bit more aggressive, like 15/18mm

Non lowered, you can go as far as 18 square.

If you plan on lowering your car you can do 15mm square.

I ran 20f/18r spacers on my stickers lowered on H&R Sport Springs and no rubbing. Here's a pic:
