TRADE: 220m Wheels & Tires for 18's

Got a 58K mile M3 with the 220m wheels and Bridgestone Pole Position tires.(235/35/19 & 265/35/19) In good shape. I'm not crazy at all about the rims. I'd prefer some lighter 18's or the factory 18's (With tires)

Factory 18s are heavy. Buy a set of Apex ARC8. If you are into performance, go square 18 x 10 or increase the factory stagger by an inch to 18 x 9.5/10.5. Then run wider tires. Among tires, Michelin PSS and Conti DW tend to run about 10% lighter than comparable tires. Of the two, PSS handle better but cost more. But neither of these are really what I call sticky high performance tires.

I was try to decide between square and staggered. I couldn't seem to find what would be a good tire size to go with that didn't throw the speedo off so far.

What size 18's would you run on square 18x10's or staggered 18x9.5/10.5 ?

275/40/18, 285/35/18, 295/30/18 all fit square 10s. I run 18x9.5 with 265/40/18 and 18x10.5 with 285/35/18. 1 inch wider wheels, 3/4 inch wider tires, same difference in diameter to stock. With square you can rotate more.

Is the speedo connected to the front or rear tires?

With those sizes isn't you speed off quite a bit now?
