Dealership bonehead move

So.. Now got my new plates.. For my (new to me) M3.. But I also got bumper plugs for the front

Whoever the bonehead is at the dealership to put the CPO/dealer plates on the car went through the license plate frame into the bumper! So.. I either need 2 more bumper plugs or.. Order a new bumper

Not happy to say the least

I feel your pain. Same thing happened with mine. Purchased from carmax. They put the license plate holder on too. Double f'd me. Looking into getting euro bumper or get them and reflector filled.

Did you tell them not to do it? If so, tell them to fill those damn holes in.

The plate frame and mount was already on the car when I first went to look at it.. Probably was done for original owner in 2013 out in Orange County California.

Someone knew they did it though because the screws were cut to the license plate so it wouldn't keep doing it.

Could have been from previous owner mounting plate.

I'm heading there tomorrow to hopefully figure something out.. But.. Legally you have to have one here in Nevada.. So.. They probably won't help me break the law

sure they will, just slip them a 20. Are you asking them to repair your bumper for you? If so, you might need more than a 20

My dealership did that too. Had 4 holes instead of 2 so I just had all filled along with reflectors. Much nicer than plugs.

I've got the same issue. How much did filling the holes and reflectors cost you? Might consider doing that too.

The Porsche dealership where i bought my used M3 allowed me to not have a front plate installed as long as i filled out a waiver and indemnity. Thankfully, the original owner didn't have front plates installed either. And this is in California.

Cost about $750 but I was told here that it should've been closer to $500 but I didn't bother shopping around, I went straight to the only shop I knew.

I had my entire bumper cover removed, taken down, reflectors filled, re-sprayed, cleared, baked and reinstalled for $750. The cost of doing this really depends on where you live. You can probably get it done cheaper here in OH then CA...

+1 just get the bumper filled and rock a tow hook mount.
