I've been quoted $600 with CA and $400 without if I remember correctly. After you get it then I think you just insert into the dash and turn on the car to register it, might be wrong.

I recently went to the local dealer and ordered the comfort access fob and the metal key insert. It was $269.06 after tax from the parts counter. It took a couple of days to arrive. The comfort access programming would have cost more, I didn't get a quote but service said it would be a half-hour of labor. They suggested that I could get it done for less or free if I asked while the car was in for other service. Since this is just a spare I didn't bother - the remote buttons work to unlock the car. You just can't touch the handles to unlock and you need to put the key in the dash slot to start it.
