LED package and cold weather package
Do you need to get the cold weather package in order to get the LED lights? Some sites such as edmunds will let you configure the X5 with LED and no cold weather. BMWUSA.COM implies you need both.

No, both options are mutually exclusive. You can get either one independent of the other. The bmwusa.com online configurator has many bugs at the moment. I have had a tough time completing a build in the past three weeks. Contact a dealer and have a configuration done through them. Just ensure the dealer is not using the bmwusa.com configurator as well.

There is no doubt the 2015 X5 configurator has not worked correctly in weeks. However, I have had much success with the Beta 2016 configurator. It seems to be working (except the interior trim is missing so it defaults to the poplar trim).

That stupid build tool on BMWUSA is a joke! It switches configurations with different options all the time. It is almost impossible to get a proper build on it. Their IT people should be fired IMO.
