So i finally pulled the trigger on joining the E9X family, at least for me this was the car to have besides a 911. Countless nights of watching reviews and drooling everytime I see one on the road. I wanted an E46 M3 for as long as i can remember but this changed when i was able to drive both cars.

The E46 is raw and the E90 is more refined and powerful.

I also knew that i was going for the E90. I just love its proportions and how wide the stance on it compared to other cars. Im getting married and will soon have kids so i feel this was the way to go. My better half agreed with me.

So back to the car. Its a 2008 M3 with Silverstone Metallic paint. 6 speed with all the packages.

Pirelli Pzero
220M wheels
Tech package
Cold weather package
Ext silver novillo leather
Individual headliner
M drive
Sunroof
6MT
Carbon leather trim

Please bear with me. There will be a lot of photos and updating. Im a professional photographer with a mild case of OCD. Mods will also be documented as I go. Thanks

First order of business was to properly dial in the condition of the paint. There were rock chips and swirls but nothing a good wetsand and polish can mend. Started with stripping the wax then used Nanoskin sponge for the top part of the car.

Claybar was needed for the bottom part of the car. Foamed twice and then polished with Menzerna. Sealed with powerlock then topped off with collinite 845.

Interior was cleaned mainly with Griots interior cleaner and protected with the BMW leather conditioner.

Wheel wells and underpanel were scrubbed and wiped down with meguiars hyper dressing.

Pressure washer is a must. My next wash would probably be in the next 3 months since i did 1 coat of powerlock and 2 coats of collinite. If you check the slope on the driveway i was actually surprised i only used that much water.

Congrats! I went from a E46 to a E92 and don't regret a single thing. I believe you made the right choice.

Thank you sir. Lots of convincing since the other half knows there is a DCT option. She still refuses to learn how to drive a manual.

Sweet. E90 is the way to go. I've got a backward facing car seat in the back of mine and shuttle my little dude to daycare everyday, downtown big city fd up traffic, parallel parking...it's great. Have fun. I had an e46 and while it was a blast, I can't imagine dealing w kids and car seats w that rig. You scored!

Rear facing car seats work great in the coupe, just preload the baby in the carrier and toss it the back seat onto the carrier base. I'm 6'2" and even if the baby carrier is behind me I don't have to adjust my driving position. My 8 month old giggled and screeched the first time she heard the /M V8

Saw your thread yesterday! Great minds think alike! Update us with more of your modifications! I'd love a good reference since we almost have the same car.
