All I know is, if I turn the wheel left, the car goes left. Turn it right and the car goes right.
Funny it seems to do this no matter how I hold the steering wheel.

I went to Bobby Ore stunt driving school (as spectator, my GF was taking the class) and he swore that shuffle steering is the best.
Have tried it and it does help get your hands in the right spot quickly, but it doesnt feel natural..guess you have to always do it that way to get used to it. Great class BTW, my GF learned how to park a car like in that audi A4 commercial. slide the car between two cars. That was the final exam! |

From Skip Barber,
Remember not to wrap your thumbs around the steering wheel. In the event of an impact, the front-wheels may cause the steering wheel to spin with enough force to break your thumbs

Yeah, that one is new to me too.
I had a few lap with an Ian Law Racing instructor and he told me my shuffling habit was a bad one... Although I did get complimented on my smooth gear shifting.
