Most Effective Bushings
I'm going to be focusing on the suspension in the car next and I have been looking into all the bushing upgrades. Which bushing upgrades are the most effective? I'd like to start there and work my way around the car.
Thanks in advance. |

Tension struts and rear subframe and go with poly, I've done these upgrades twice. On an old e90 I had a few years back I did m3 bushings and this time I used whiteline on my e82 and there isn't any nvh with the poly bushings. From what ive read here on the forum you get noise and vibration from the dif bushings so if you plan to change those use m3 rubber.

If I was to do the rear subframe bushings again ( I put in M3 ), I would probably install the M3 Motorsport version. I believe Turner sells them.

If I were to do it a third time I would get solid in the rear sub and the Dinan mono-ball kit for the tension struts. But this option is expensive.

I have AKG 75D bushings in the rear and I noticed an NVH increase. Its not bad but it is there. I get a bit of extra noise at exactly 10Mph 1st or 2nd gear. I also notice that the rear transmits a little more road feel into the cabin like riding over expansion joints. I'm not complaining mind you because the benefits are there. As far as no extra NVH from near solid poly I would say minimal extra NVH in my case.
