I Need an Excellent Bay Area dealer or tech for a PPI on a 2009 V10 M5.

Hi Guys,

I found a low mile 2009 M5 and need to get it checked out by a good tech, not a novice. Anyone have a tech or dealer in the San Francisco Bay Area that knows what they are doing regarding these cars and can tell me if it's clean and call out any issues?

Would appreciate any recommendations.

Palo Alto Bimmer is a good indy in the Bay Area (Palo Alto). A good friend has his E60 worked on there and is very happy. I service my E39 and E36M's there (or anything out of warrantee).

Well, after Driving 1.5 hours to drive the car, I agreed to his full price and, requested that I check the car out by getting a PPI at either of my preferred shops, Sonnen and or Palo Alto Bimmer any day M-F at any time. All of my shops were closed on the weekends. The seller got hostile, raised his voice and told me he would only do a PPI at a dealer that was 5 minutes from his house on the weekends and accused me of not trusting him and wasting his time because I wanted to inspect it at my spots. He said I was inconveniencing him. Sadly after that I had to decline the deal. I can't do a deal with hostility, and I feel strongly about having a car, no matter how low the miles, checked out by people I trust

There's tons of stuff that there is reason to hide on the E60 M5's. You made the right call bro.

Thanks RPi,

It's hard listening to that voice in your head that is saying "something is wrong don't do it." I hardly ever see someone go super nice to angry that fast…I just had to walk even though I really really wanted it. On to the next!
