Got Rear Ended
So yesterday I got rear ended in my E93 M3, got hit by a Cadillac CTS. The damage is minor or at least appears to be. But it is evident that the spacing between the panels is way off for the trunk and the quarter panel. Is there anything additionally that should be checked or could be an issue? Trunk still opens and the hardtop operates correctly. Due to work, I have to wait till Saturday to get it appraised and into a shop.
I will post some pictures in a few minutes... Thanks in advance. John |

Any high marks (marks outwards on the bumper skin from it hitting the rebar)? If yes, then rebar is likely damaged.

Definitely a new bumper skin. Hopefully the rebar and mounts are in good shape.

Had the same thing happen to me a few months ago however it was an suv that also hit the trunk along the crease. So new bumper and lots of work on the trunk. Mine is/was a mint 2010 and Allstate said due to age they did not have to use brand new parts. Went to one of their supposed best shops in Atlanta and job was decent but not like new. Good luck.

Your screwed! Throw it out! Jk, cosmetic by the looks. I'd check your muffler and your rear right tail light for cracked or broken plastic though.

Although the damage may look minor, you always want to have the parts stripped down and check for frame damage. This cost is going on the guilty party's insurance, spare no expense and demand OEM replacement and complete checks of the rear of the car down to the frame
