?'s about rear folding seat retrofit

I am looking at trying to retrofit rear folding seats in my E90 M3 and have found a great DIY to do it. The one main thing I am trying to confirm that was not addressed in the DIY is: Can I source the seats from any E90 3 series or are the M3 rear seats or mounting points different?

I am assuming there are no differences as the would make sense but wanted to check before spending any cash.

Here it is. Looks relatively simple, just need to source the doner seats.

I never understood why people would order these cars new without the folding rear seat option.

Never understood why BMW have to charge extra for folding rear seats in their premium version for which people certainly pay for as it is....cheap close to stupid if you ask me.

It's been done before, but IMO, it's a bit expensive in terms of value for $. It's also tedious b/c to do it on the cheap you need to keep an eye out for a donor/part out with the same leather color and acceptable quality.

Does model matter?

Does anyone know if the model number matters? E.g. will seats from an e90 335 fit an e90 M3? Thanks!
