Anyone seen the freaking Chevy ad on Youtube?"Thats the dream to have wifi in my car"
Are those people serious in the ad, i am not originally from US, but this kind of BS ad just makes me want to puke at late night. In fact the only good thing I heard about Chevy lately is when I called a chevy dealer about a m3 they told me the previous owner trade in the m3 for a z06, even the m3 is too expensive for me at least i know it is not trade in for a chevy malibu lol. Just think it is funny to see those actors in the ad pretend they are so excited to have wifi in the car. You Americans are so funny (dont get mad guys, just a joke)

is that the commercial where the panel of people are sitting around talking about what they want in a car then some chevy rep comes in and tells them all the features are available in their line of crap cars? yea, its stupid.
i have also never understood when manufacturers use marketing citing "european like handling, etc." why consider a car that is trying to drive like the car you actually want?

I love the line, "It's like a luxury car!" So, it was a piece of shit before? Yes, yes it was Chevy.

Or when they talk about the quality of the interior, with prospective customers saying that they thought it was like an Audi or BMW.. Obviously not one of them has ever been inside of a modern Audi (which has the best interior of any modern mass-produced car).

A lot of car commercials I've seen lately talk about accessing social media and apps from the car. They don't even focus on performance anymore. LOL it's pathetic.

But most of them ARE stupid, like ads of Nissan Maximas and Acura TSX's (both FWD)doing what are cut to look like RWD power slides. Yes...drifting in a front drive car... What a joke.

This years trend seems to be lame cars sliding around on a dusty dry lake bed (Camrys, etc.). While you can tail slide in a FWD car, it's not all that fun. The Focus ST is pretty well set-up for this, but most FWD cars are awkward at best. I've slid the tail in a Maxima on dry pavement, but it's really not something to enjoy as far as the dynamics of the car and it's handling.

I remember when I saw the commercial on TV, I asked myself about the legal aspect of such a commercial in the US. I mean, given the facts those people can't be for real. They're either actors or were paid to say something positive. But the commercial makes it look genuine to the average person, as if it all really went down like that. Is this sort of false advertisement allowed in the US?
I remember alot of commercials on American TV now display small text in the bottom of the screen: "Dramatization" when showing how good something is or works. Which is silly in comparison to Chevy which does not seem to be required to display something like "Statements dramatized by actors; Chevies still as shitty as ever." or something, lol.

You notice that the ad didn't have a guy standing in front of a car that would cost as much as the truck (once it has had options added). Wonder what the girls would have said if the car had been a Mercedes Benz C300 or an Audi A6 rather than a cheap econobox. Please don't tell me that the truck can be purchased for little more than $21,000. That's without any options. Most pickups sold in the US retail for well over $30,000, and the truck shown in the ad has several options added.

Shit, we Americans went wild for Corinthian leather in the 70's and 80's. I still think Corinthian leather is the nicest leather available.

Of course! As if the rocky shores of Greece would have great cows. But then, what's "Novillo"? Marketing has fun with this leather stuff...
