DCT Shifter - Panel Removal

Anyone know how this thing comes off? I bought the carbon fiber replacement cover and for the life of me can't figure out how to 'pop' it off.

Just pry with all my might or is there a trick?

Hey, you have too peel off the sticker and there is a single screw below it. The sticker is the one with the lettering / gear shift location at the top of the shift knob.

Thanks Spinny. I knew there had to be a way.

Man, I'm having issues even locating the sticker portion, much less being able to peel it off. It all seems to be one piece (the black portion that has the +/- D/S?

Remove the black plastic ("+" and "-") from the top using the flattest screw driver you have. Pry it in-between the black plastic and the silver knob panel. They are double side tape together. It is not easy to remove it. Most likley you will damage the black plastic. That's why they gave you a spare one when you purchase the Carbon. Good Luck.

Cheers.

Thanks guys...I understand now and it makes sense that I see the double sided tape on the new CF piece.

I ordered from JB Speed and only received the CF portion - no new black piece; so I will be extra careful when prying that portion off.

Appreciate the replies!
