ESS 650 M3 vs PURE Turbo M4

I'm at NoFlyZone Arizona right now it's hot AF out here. A few BMW's but only got to run one today which is the PURE Turbo M4 Shop Car. It's a 6MT and runs their larger turbo upgrade. Spoke to the owners and it wasn't running 100%. They were still dialing it in.

I had the 5 gallon water/ice tank installed and it really helped out because it was nearing 100 degrees F during our run. Here you go:

More info on the PURE Turbo M4 is here:

Nice kill! A supercharger on the S65, with that rpm redline, and DCT is dangerous. I can't remember, but how do you do against heavily modded GTR's from a roll?

Well I got destroyed today by my buddy's GTR that makes 665 wheel. But then in the very next race I ran a Cordes Performance built motor LS3 Camaro on a 150 shot making about the same 665 wheel and I beat it by 2 cars.

665 wheel GTR is a lot faster than anything else 665 wheel.

Very impressive (as usual ) Do you know which spool version that car was setup with or the HP/TQ numbers? it looked liked you spanked it pretty bad so I curious.

-Fast Spool: Spools like stock turbos, capable of 600+whp

-HiFlow: 300-500rpm spool difference, capable of 700+whp

Not sure but from the outcome must have been 600 wheel version. The pure M4 also had a passenger and I didn't. And of course is 6MT.

I raced a 700 wheel n54 335i 6MT and kept ahead for most of the race but he flew past me at the end to show what 150+ more HP will do.

I will do a vid of all my runs. But other notables was that I put 2-3 cars on a Hellcat (driver said 627 wheel so I'm guessing stock?) and 2-3 cars on a Porsche 997.2 Turbo S and we know those are 126-129 trappers stock so my car is running well with the water tank mod.

very nice runs, when were you putting the ice in? about how long do you think the ice makes a difference? i'm estimating about 10 minutes tops, then it just heats up again like normal.

but i love it and am i'm glad i did mine.

Nice job! and nice to meet you.

I was very frustrated I couldn't get a clean run all day. Steve helped me get the boost under control finally, we left it on low boost, then couldn't figure out a fueling issue. I trapped 155 when I should have been trapping 165+. You can see the rich condition / black smoke in your video at 49sec. I was so frustrated and done embarrassing the car/turbos, I called it quits. Next time.

Again, awesome job! Watching you drop ice into your trunk tank had me thinking about a IAT solution for my car

I've been there myself at these events, so don't sweat it, no doubt the Pure Turbo setup is the real deal and will run faster when all dialed in.

I carried an insulated bag that fit 2 bags of ice. Right before I start the run when there are 1 or 2 cars in line ahead of me, I turn on the gopros and drop in the ice.

The ice lasts about 10 minutes yeah. Enough to do a run and then go back for another run. There's no lines at NFZ Arizona so I could have even done 3 races on one bag.

Nice meeting you guys as well. Did you run the blue 700 wheel Harman Motiv n54 335i 6MT? That car was dialed in. My guess is that you guys would be a terrific run with that car once everything gets sorted.
