rotor choices

hi:
my tech informed me i will need new rotors on my 2008 128i. it has just turned 100k miles and rotors are still stock!

i was thinking about upgrading to a slotted rotor vs stock replacement. any thoughts? i do not plan to upgrade to a BBK.

the car is a DD with city and hwy driving. does not see the track; which is not to say i wouldn't mind doing something sometime!

thanks...

If you click the search button, and search for the stop tech rotors, you will find more than enough "data" to back up my claim.

I've used stock, BMWP, and Stoptech. Stoptech's are the only ones who can handle track use, daily use, and multiple 125+ MPH stops you see on the German autobahn. 12k miles, 4 Hockenheimring track days, 22 Laps of the Nurburgring, and 6 months of daily use and they are not warped. IT's hard to beat the performance of the Stoptech rotors.

I've used several sets of centric 'high carbon' rotors for the 135i. They are inexpensive and seem to last a good while at track events. For the street, they are fine.

Stop tech slotted for the win! Multiple 145-150mph stops, 9 Nurburgring laps, and then when I brought it to the states, 5 autocross events, and they are still holding strong they outlasted the pagid track pads that are super abrasive to rotors. The rotors never got warped.

Yes, and in a much more credible way than "Stoptech Slotted. ///End thread."
