Bought M5 yesterday

After extensive deliberations and choosing between ordering to exact specs I wanted and getting the car immediately I yesterday picked up four months old with 3K miles on it from Portland/Beaverton dealership.
That was an epic drive from Seattle given probably one of the worst rains I've seen in years and close to ten accidents observed on the sides of I5. My m3 did great and only once had a hint of hydroplaning (PSS is a great tire!).
Once arrived at Kuni BMW, M5 was pulled into a covered bay and looked simply awesome. IMHO Singapore Grey is one of the best colors and amaro brown beats my M3 fox red hands down. Car is speced with most of the goodies - competition, executive, driver assistance, B&O, smart phone, carbon fiber. I think the only two options missing are CCB and night vision. I would have probably never chosen some of the options on the custom order but it would have been a loss looking at how great carbon fiber trim is.
Car did great on a ride back home through yet another wall of heavy rain, really appreciated HUD integration with nav while navigating Portland traffic. I do need to get used to more HP given that I ended up fishtailing on couple of occasions while downshifting.
Will post pictures once I manage to get them.

Congrats! Singapore grey is a great color, but I'm a little biased.

Congratulations! I came from an M3 too and it took awhile to get used to the size and weight difference. But, really like this car, the interior comfort is just worlds apart. Then theres the acceleration. As far as the weather, yeah unfortunate day to pick your car up in the PNW. But, yeah you can fishtail even with all the nannies on. I had to work all night on Friday and it did well wading through rivers on the freeway. Of course I had my car detailed last week and now it is just trashed. Awesome.

The car looked great and it is indeed a great color combination. I think they had it listed for 94K, did they go any lower?
Enjoy the car.

Yep, they did go lower and I could have gotten even further if I was not dead tired coming previous night from oversees trip. Said that, it is an awesome price for a couple months old car with $124K sticker.

There was an hour yesterday when it was not raining so I managed to grab couple of shots as I expected that pictures are going to be asked for

Now need to wait for a sunny day, wash it and use a real camera...

WRT mods, I'll change side vents with IND and probably get new wheels. I'll drive it for couple of months to see what else is needed. But the first change will be to hardwire radar detector.
