Trunk Comfort Access Inconsistent Operation

My 2015 M3 trunk comfort access is inconsistent and works only about 20% of the time. I usually give up and just use the trunk handle to open the trunk.

Is anyone else having problems using their leg to open the trunk? Is there a mod or a way to increase the moton sensor sensitivity? It would be great if this feature actually worked consistently.

I was told during my ED that a lot of folks have issues with this because they are never properly shown how to use it.

You need to do the kick maneuver and then BACK AWAY. The car needs to see you step back to ensure the lid is clear before it will open for you.

I had the same problem and then realised the right mode was to stand in the centre of the car and light kick under the roundel.
