Headlight adjustment after lowering

Has anyone had to adjust their low beams after lowering the car? I've found instructions for LEDs on the forum, but nothing about the standard headlights.

Looks like it's the same as the LEDs

I thought it was too, but after I installed the springs it was way off.

and if you want a nice guide on how to set the height..

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/aim/aim.html

IIRC the left/driver side headlight should sit a little lower than the right

Since there are now quite a few people who have enabled VLD and NGHB (aka Euro LEDs) on their cars (), including some of the people who have posted in this thread, it is worth mentioning that, if you have done so, you should never adjust your headlights with the light switch in the "Automatic" position. This was mentioned in the thread in the Coding sub-forum, but I doubt that many people have read through that entire thread

Also, self-leveling is disabled with Euro LEDs.

Oh, I did not know that. And you're right, I just took the easy way out and had EAS code my car haha.

OP, how much did you drop your car to notice that the lights were not aligned well anymore? I was thinking of doing the Eibach Prokit drop which is only 0.8" up front and 0.2" rear. I can't imagine it throwing off the headlights much. I'm guessing you lowered your car 2-2.5"?

I went with the H&R Sport springs, which gave me about 1" on all four corners.

Doesn't look like you need to adjust headlights with only that much difference in height

I have LEDs and coded via EAS - NO issues and the light is pretty level and seems to be where it's supposed to be.

Still like the M4 with a little forward rake - seems a little low in the rear.

There is still a very small wheel gap in the front and back.

Make sure the headlight leveling arm was reinstalled correctly on the drivers front and drivers rear control arms. I would bet that the rear one is installed incorrectly.

Does anyone know how to adjust the LED headlights to the left and right? I can't find any adjustment screw for it. Thanks.

Can someone post the headlight vertical aim adjustment procedure from the FSM? Mine are aimed too low right from the factory!

Post #2 shows the white hex/phillips socket you turn to raise or lower the baseline beam.

I saw that but I would like to see the actual procedure / guidelines from the FSM. Post #2 is like saying "Use a thicker or thinner shim to adjust the valve clearance"
