Wrapping an M3 need advise
Hell everyone,
So im searching for M3's in south Florida and they don't exist with the color/price im willling to pay. I was thinking about buying a color i don't like and can afford and then wrap the car. What are the downsides to this? How much does this cost to be done professionally?

Huh? Buying a color you don't like? From BMW? So you'd rather pay 3-4K for wrapping than 0-2k for a well painted BMW off factory?
Help me what I am missing here |

Have you considered ordering what you want? The wait is worth getting what you want versus getting something that you don't want.

Hard to give pricing because there are multiple factors that come into play like brand of vinyl, whether or not you want the door jambs wrapped, etc. |

Wraps are not the best solution for fixing a color you don't want. If you are an attention to detail person, you will notice the wrap. No matter how skilled the people are, they can never get the wrap to be perfect with no visible seams. The F80's complex front bumper is a nightmare to do perfectly.
Assuming it's not in the price range to order exactly what you want, it's obvious, you can still afford $70K + $4K more for the price of a wrap. Why not just order an M3 that is in the color you want with the essential options you want? You will still be below $74K all in. Another option is, if you are willing to pay $4K for a wrap, just expand your search wider and buy from a dealer that has what you want and have the car shipped for less than $1K. You'd still be way ahead of getting your car wrapped. Of course, if you want a crazy color, then your only options are BMW Individual or wrap. I'd rather pay $5K for a BMW Individual color than $4K for a wrap. |

Just purchased M3 in central Florida!
First I'm confused by your post because you claim to want a M3 but posted a link to a yas M4 as the car your looking at. I live in Florida and know your frustration but patients is a virtue. I shopped around for 3 weeks but was able to land the M3 I wanted at a very good discount. Don't be scared to call on the well optioned ones and tell the dealer where you need to be if they want to move a unit they will work with you or locate one that fits the bill in there pipeline or at another dealer. My M3's msrp was $76400 with a manual so it is well equipped but I paid less than $72k, so it can be done. Also if you want a super clean M4 I just traded in my 2015 M4 AW/SO DCT 6900 miles in and it is available at Fields Daytona Beach location. It's a very nice car clear bra installed no accidents no paint work and not abused. Good Luck!

Don't wait
You have $1500 in rebates right now! I know for a fact you can buy an M3 for $3000-$3500 off plus your rebate, I would also assume you could do maybe $1000-$1500 more discount for M4. Check out Reeves in Tampa if you want a DCT M3, they had 3 from $72k-80k. I was offered any of the 3 cars $4000 off plus rebates, 72k car was $3000 discount plus rebates. Deals are out there you just have to pursue them and willing to say "NO" if the deal isn't right.

Why not look say in Texas or other state, fly there, buy it and drive home? Gotta be better than $3k wrap and have the color you want!
