***E-Check Question***

Anyone ever have an issue passing an e-check after putting on a primary catless x pipe and getting rid of the error codes with a tune? I have wanted to get an x pipe for a while now...just don't know if I'll be able to pass e-check.

Is e-check an emissions check?

Without the primary cats, even with a tune, your cat monitor will display "not ready" which in CA at least means you will fail. Other states may be more lenient allowing 1 or more emissions monitors to read "not ready" while still passing.

It's possible for a tune to show readiness without cats but I don't know of any tuners that are doing this as it is illegal.
