Winter Is Here!! ----{driving or storing}
The great winter has arrived here in the GTA! Well it arrived a week or 2 ago.
Who decided to drive and who decided to store? and why? I decided storage was the way to go this year for me. A few reasons swayed this decision: First, the car is new, picked it up September 4th so I missed the whole summer with it (long story short my 2015 got delayed so I re-ordered a 2016). The paint is still perfect (opti-coated and waxed) and Id like to keep it that way at least for one full summer. Second, winter tires in our sizes are just more then I wanted to spend... this made justifying storage a lot easier for me Third, I work in the automotive industry as a Client Retention Manager and Sales Manager so a car is always available to me if I need one (which made the 7 month wait for my ///M3 a lot more tolerable). Whats everyone else doing? Id love to see some winter pics! Heres mine Snow fell: Cleaned it up: As it sits next to the winter car:

Similar to you, just picked up my '16 mid October. Only drove for a few weeks then stored for our east coast winter. Tempted to slap winters on for the nicer days but content for now to stick with my truck for DD duties.

Daily driver, it's a normal car, not a Ferrari It only sleeps at night in my garage, winter/snow storm arrived last week in Montreal. Here's some dirty pics and how it will look after tomorrow's bath http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1202659. I think myzmak is the dirtiest

That's what she said....
Yeah, I usually try to keep it cleaner than that (it actually got a bit worse) but we were just locked in this cycle of snow/melt/snow/melt where it was never cold and dry enough for the snow to stick around - it just kept melting the day after it fell and i was busy so didnt want to 'waste' time on a bath. It is cleaner now but....I'm sure it will get to the multiple-salt-layer status again soon enough

@myzmak , this winter season has been very forgiving and bizarre here, today is +5C and raining I have a CQUK costing and it's recommended to wash regularity, and that sucks, because of the conditions you mention the car is dirty the same day!

Last winter we had the unusually warm/dry weather so it was easier to keep it clean (though it sucked for skiing and, all other things being equal, i will take the better snow for skiing and a slightly dirtier M )

15% all around with a 50% windshield. Ive hear Quebec is a lot stricter with their laws then Ontario, not just tint, but the whole Highway Traffic Act

Year round daily driver for me. It's been through 2 snow storms so far, and I've had no troubles at all.

Unfortunately, not rich enough to afford a winter beater...
Fortunately I am still driving my car, don't think I could survive the 4 months hibernation of my car...

I drive the M4 all year round. I only distinguish between wet days and dry days. Since owning the M4 starting in June 2014, I've washed it only a handful of times. Most recently, I have not washed it for 4 months and running.
"wet car" attached. Love this thing! So much fun in wet conditions.

First time storing an M! I've always driven my M3's through winter but with 3 young boys (2/4/7) that need to be hauled around daily I couldn't stand to watch them destroy the interior of my M4!
