Brake Discs - Next Step up from OEM?

If I wanted to stay OEM and upgrade the discs, what would be the next upgrade?

Would these be it?
Front: https://www.ecstuning.com/News/BMW_B...013/ES2102485/

Rear: https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E82-13...ors/ES2102515/

I couldn't find rear cross drilled and slotted ones.

Any that meets or exceed OEM specs. Brembo, ATE, Balo and Zimmerman just to name a few.

Thank you! What I'm asking though is, what would the disc upgrade be?

Modern brake pads make drilled rotors unnecessary for improved performance.
For track use the drilled rotors can crack at the holes from repeated heat cycles.
For the street drilled rotors are just fine.
I run the drilled rotors on my car because I like the look and do not track my car.
So for a performance upgrade they are not necessary but from a ascetic upgrade they are nice.

Check out StopTech rotors. I run their slotted style, but they also have drilled options.

This is kind of confusing. You keep saying upgrading and also keep saying stock.

What do you currently have and what are you trying to achieve? Do you have an issue you are trying to solve, are you planning to race? Are you just looking for a free improvement since you happen to already feel you need to replace the rotors?

More info needed for people to have better answers.

Tracer bullet, basically I am asking what options from BMW do I have for upgraded brakes? Not necessarily stock, say for example do the 1m brakes fit the 135?

There is also bmw performance brake kit.

If you have a 135 your brakes are more or less the performance brakes. The front calipers are the same. The rears are a slightly different caliper design, but the rotors are the same size as 135 OEM.

1M brakes are M3 brakes - those rotors are not interchangeable with the 135.

BMW makes an aftermarket rotor, called the BMW Performance Rotor. Theyre drilled style and expensive.

Had BMW Performance front rotors on for 65,000 mile, stock pads and street driving.
They were getting close to the wear limit so replaced them with ECS tuning two piece rotors. They seem to be very good quality and I'm happy with them.

Although two-piece, it is not full floating so the true benefit may be only weight savings.

Thanks guys, i've decided to go for the Prontos which are identical to the BMW performance rotors for a fraction of the price.

Good info here. Question: How often do you replace brakes?

The OEM front brakes were replaced at 39K (Dec.2013) miles and now I have 50K and they beginning to squeak (only 11K miles and little over 2 years on them). On April 2015, the brake fluid change was done. Looking at the breaks pads/rotors they look fine to me. Look in the idrive and it says service is do in 12,000.

Front were replaced, but the on the rear only the pads. Got them replaced under the original maintenance, but now it is on me.

Thanks,
