Front reflector tinting/smoke out?

Kind of a follow up post to my earlier one about vinyl wrapping the front reflectors.

Has anyone either smoked out or put tint material over the amber front reflectors to darken them out if they can't get a perfect colour match and don't want to install painted reflectors.

Any experience with this out there?

Any pics?

It's tint... I don't have the percentage!
