JB4, Torque app, boost
So this past Saturday I installed a JB4 (stage 2) and finally got to do a couple WOT tests this evening first thru 3rd & 4th gears. At idle, the psi is 13.6 - 13.8. I'm using map 1 and 92 octane fuel. The most boost I saw was 23.9, which would be 10 psi. I'm wondering if anyone knows how accurate the torque app is? Also, does anyone know what the OEM boost is?
I tried the 7-1 option to out the boost on the oil gauge, but it didn't work.

+1. Your jb4 will most likely not run properly if you having anything plugged into your obd port. Even an obd cable with nothing plugged into the non obd end. Get the bms data cable or the Bluetooth dongle if you want to log.

The Torque app connects using a bluetooth dongle and I get all the normal readings however that doesn't mean the JB4 is working correctly. I do have the BMS cable so I'll just try to datalog. I didn't know you couldn't use the torque app and the JB4 together.

It's not the app. It's the dongle. Plugging anything into the obd port affects something having to do with the canbus (I think). Your dongle might work, but possibly not the jb4.

You cant have anything plugged into the OBD2 port. The JB4 uses the CANBUS system and plugging anything into the OBD2 port stops the JB4 from working. It's not safe for the engine.

Thanks for letting me know. I read a lot about the JB4 before buying and installing it but must have missed what you mentioned above.

Jb4 mobile is what you want. Several gauge options, on the fly monitoring of all logable variables. Mobile device logging. Full control.
Android and IOS.Not associated with Dmac, but think his software is solid.

Alot of people don't know how the JB4 does the steering wheel controls or gauge functions. I don't think it's really stated on BMS's website so it's easy to not know.

If I had to do it again, I'd get the Dinan S2 tune. I might just get it anyway... still haven't decided for sure.

I'll have to look for this app. How does it connect to the car, the USB cable?

You can do USB Bluetooth dongle, or usbOTG. Have to use the BMS data cable.

I got the app and ordered to Bluetooth connection able. So even if I have map 0 selected, I can't have anything in the OBD port? I like the IAT and water temp gauges from the Torque app.
