smile.....the tops down and its gorgeous weather today

It was 68 here in No Cal today.....did the drive through at lunch just so I could enjoy the sunshine, and no doubt someone made a comment......often happens with the top dropped since people feel your more approachable.

It just got me thinking of the comments/looks I get when enjoying my car. Its nice when someone sees you enjoy it and gets off on that...

Do you get comments like this? Share your most approachable memorable moment.

So far I've received three comments while driving with my top down:
1. From a little kid on a bike who was crossing while I waited at a stop sign
2. From a homeless guy who was begging for money on the street ("That's a NICE CAR, man!")
2. From some high-school girl hanging out in the back of a pickup truck.

Not too many comments for me but then I again I'm not nearly has good looking as Rosie....

Its too cold here, the high was 60 and it was cloudy most of the day. I decided to take my mom's TL to school today, and cruise with everything closed up.

Okay. But I'm still not as good looking as you are! Generally you have to drive where people are standing to get comments and, so far, the only people standing near where I'm driving are newspaper sellers and beggars!

80+ here in SoCal today...most definitely top-down weather. Took a nice little drive today...even the girls got a little sunburn

And to directly address Rosie's topic, my most approachable (well memorable) moment I think was when driving past a motorcycle cop with a radar gun a while back (top-down of course) I see him come after me in my rear view mirror. Stopped at the next light he pulls right up to my drivers' side door and looks down at me with an very authoritative look. After a minute, he says, "Just want to tell you, you look great driving that car. Have a nice day".

It was nice to get the compliment and I was happy not to get a ticket but geez, could of at least smiled at me when he said it. Cali cops...sheesh

I drove down by the water today at lunch, just because I could. It was about 70 here in Santa Cruz.

I've gotten a lot of nods, waves, nice cars, and smiles. Heck, when I was on my way to meet up with Rosie, Wade, and Bluesie, some guy in stop and go traffic asked me what my license plate meant. Not sure if it's my car or my son, but we get lots of attention from the high school girls when I drop him off in the morning.

I actually had to use sunscreen today. Gotta love the california weather.

Mostly guys drooling, but women love the car too. This past weekend pulled up to a stoplight very quickly and next to a mustang. Dude in the passenger seat started to drool, can't imagine what the girl was thinking! I would venture to say everytime I take the car out, I get some looks.

And to think, the great weather today....and all I did at lunch was......get my car washed from the dirt of my rainy day drive on Sunday. No top down, no clear bra, no nothin.

Same, I was driving pass this guy with his son (seemed to be around 6 or 7) in a Shelby Mustang. We are at a stop light, I have the top (like always), im listening to some music, and I look over, this kid is staring at the Z4 with the biggest smile on his face. So I give a little rev, and he is trying to get his dad's attention, but his dad REFUSED to look at me. The kid is waving, so I wave back, so I take 1st gear up to 4k, and then his dad catches up, looks at me, revs up, spins the wheels at 35mph, and takes off. I could still see the kid looking back at me.

I really love it when women give me comments about the car.

I had a similar run in, but it was a teen age girl and her 20ish boyfriend in a modified current model mustang. I didn't try to run it though as the cop presence is very heavy in the little city I was in. The girl seemed to really like the car, but the guy, just like the kid's father just stared straight ahead.

Girls/women that are overly impressed with the Z4M are a red flag for me! I am a little more used to women that expect to ride in upscale cars. LOL
