Few first pictures
Okay, I now have the car, it has a prime spot in the garage and made it feel welcomed before I went to stretch its legs a little on a very nice Saturday.
We've spent about 3 hours to learn to know each other better. These pics are when I picked it up Friday and Saturday. It's not very clean as it was pissing rain Friday and I don't want to touch it until my detailer takes care of it. Last edited by stealth70mde; 05-15-2016 at 05:52 PM.. |

Yup, the interior is very nice. I don't regret it. Lightens up the inside nicely since there is no sunroof.
I'm not happy with the darkness of the tint on the side windows. I went for legal tint % but it's really not enough and almost looks like nothing was added. I will most probably redo them a little bit more darker. Also already thinking of changing the front chromed grill, side chrome bits and back M4 to black. |

Yes BMW Laval is great, I love my SA there.
Problem is that they are such a big dealership that the service department is a little bit like a zoo and chaotic where every customer thinks (maybe rightly so) that they are royalty. They are victim of their own success in a way. |

Congrats!
That color combo is sharp! I used to have 20% all around and got harassed like crazy.. I eventually went 35 in the front with 20 in the back and VOILA.. no more tickets or inspections! The contrast seems to make 35% appear to be (somewhat) more legal... |

If that's the case with the same logic you have 65% tinting on the front windows. A tad too dark for me. Law in Québec says 30% tinted (70% light passthrough) for night security and for cops to see what you are doing inside when they pull you over... |

With so many black interiors I found that they attract dust a lot. Also, so far so good even though the leather has not been sealed yet. That should be taken care of very soon. Based on others who have the Silverstone interior, it's not too too bad to maintain as long as you get to the scuffs or spots early. Of course I am sure I will be swearing like a lumberjack the day I spill ketchup from a quick lunch from McDon*ald's drive-thru |

Oh and 3 more things...
Today I was at BMW to show them a defect in my windshield. There is a little problem with the lamination (plastic sheet between 2 glass layers). They will most likely change it or will ask that they leave it as is until it cracks for good on its own. You cannot see the micro fracture at all unless the sun hits it a certain way or use a very powerful light. I parked the M4 in the drive-thru garage just behind a 435i with M Package and M Performance Exhaust. Same BSM color as mine. They really look alike when you look at them quickly which is a bit disappointing even though they are not the same car at all but the ressemblance is striking. Mainly you notice that the M4 is wider and notice the bump on the hood. Last thing; They made me listen to the MPE on another M4 because I was saying I was disappointed with the stock sound. The MPE is still not the sound I am looking for but it is SO f'n loud! I was just not expecting the MPE to be that much louder. Still it is too metallic sounding for me and no deep enough at low RPM. Maybe I got used too much to the sound of a big rumbly V8 à la Mustang GT... |

Spotted a BSM/SS M4 in Longueuil area this morning. Can it be you?
