Sparkling Graphite M3: The Most Rare Color?

Has anyone in the US taken delivery on a Sparkling Graphite E92 M3? Of all the members who have taken delivery, and all the members who have posted pictures of the cars at their local dealerships, I have yet to see a Sparkling Graphite. Anyone?

This should give you an idea:

Personally I think it sucks. I have SG on a 330xi sedan and it is horribly non-descript. Wouldn't have bought it myself but the wife liked it - and compromise is an important factor in a long & happy marriage!

Yeah, I'm pretty new here, but I've noticed that too. Relative to within Syria, cars are much more affordable here in the United States. It's gone down, but the taxes on a new vehicle there were astronomical (my cousin told me $220-250k for the M6). So when there is the opportunity to buy here in the US, it's easier to justify.

Eggplant? I presume because of the slight purple hue at certain angles? I find that more noticeable in pictures than in real life though.

Awesome. Thanks for the picture. I just saw a Sparkling Graphite 335i pass by and thought it looked great. I am thinking either this color or Interlagos Blue.

I'll be o ne of the few when my mil sales takes place sometimes this summer. Am looking at S.Graphite 1st choice OR space gray as a 2nd choice...everyone has space gray however it does look nice....but sort of light..and I do already have a silver coupe also. Hmm decisions...decisions! LOL

I should be picking up my NON ZTP sparkling graphite on regular fox red M3 on 3/29. I do NOT see eggplant in this color in person.

Personally while I think the concept of a cabon fiber roof is cool it is a bit BLING for me and i think graphite color hides it best.

I will have pics and a write up on driving this car after it arrives,

Dan

I currently have a Steel Grey E46 and am debating the two SG's in E92. Sparkling Graphite and Space Grey. Decisions.

Samifumi, if you are near the DFW area. There is a Sparkling Graphite e92 M3 at Classic BMW in Ft. Worth. Personally, I liked the color. I first saw it on the M3 on a rainy day and it looked sleek. However, I saw a sparkling graphite on a 335i in the bright sun and it looked purplish-brown.

I've been interested in Jerez since the beginning, but when I saw a Space Gray in person it completely turned me. I suggest trying to find a space gray at a dealership to see how you like it.

Eggplant? You wearing colored sunglasses there Mantis?

Goto YouTube and search M3 RS4 AMG Top Gear. The car they test is Sparkling Graphite.

The M3 is space grey in that test, not Sparkling Graphite.

When did Classic move to Fort Worth? The way I remember it back in my DFW days (not long ago), SMU kids had the BMWs from Classic (Dallas) with the Texas flag on the back (I always loved that) and TCU kids had BMWs from Autobahn or Mortiz. John Roberts was mixed in here and there. Is Autobahn no more?

Thanks for the heads up. If I get up to DFW in the next few weeks, I'll swing by.

My buddy has a 335 in Sparkling Graphite and it definitely has a pronounced purple hue in sunlight. When it's overcast, the color just looks flat...not much depth.

I've had this color for 2 years now and this is true - no need for colored sunglasses to see this

As it happens, I saw a Sparkling Graphite today and it looked great. First time in that colour and have only seen JB and MR before. Waiting to see an AW. I love SR on the new 1er coupe, too.
