Are 2016+ M3's still having Door Seal Creeking Issues?
Guys- I am thinking of trading in the M4 for a 2017 M3. I recall a number of complaints with the M3 Door Seals Creeking...Has this been addressed by BMW or still an issue?

Yup. Nothing major but the front door on the passenger side makes a slight rubbing sound due to the door panel rubbing against the weather seal in the bottom inside corner. My service adviser identified the issue but acted like there's nothing he could do about it.
I don't have passengers often so it's not a huge deal t plus I'm hoping it fixes itself due to wear on the seal. |

Yep, maybe its just me but sedan tends to have this problem. On my F30, 3 trips to the dealer finally fixed it. Seals around the door were replaced. Now with the F82, its night and day compare to the F30. There is no noise at all, love it!!!

My car had this pretty bad. I used Gummi Pledge to no avail. Took it to the dealer, they applied "Rubber Care" per the invoice, no more noise..it's been about 2k miles in 3months. For what it's worth, my car only made the creaking noise if the windows were up, but it was very noticeable

Yea the only way the wifey is on board to getting another M 1.5 yrs into the m4, is because she feels "we need 4 doors" for our 2 year old & as a side perk Daddy now gets his comp package. She wants a DCT so she can drive it "some"...which I dont think is gonna happen |

Sorry I don't. My Dinan specialist at my dealer told me about. I'm away on a trip this week and they are doing it while I'm away as well the latest software upgrade.
For the record my car is a 2016 and I've used Gummi Flege on the door seals since new. In addition my dealer has tried on several attempts to eliminate the noise but it comes back after a couple of weeks. Hopefully this TSB fixes it once and for all. |
