Reset Serivce Meter?

Hey guys, I took my Z in for regular service a couple weeks ago, but they forgot to reset the service countdown meter. Is there a way that I can reset this myself? Or do I have to make another appointment to take the car in again? Thanks!

Garage List
I would just swing by and have them reset it. It should not take long and they should be able to get you in right away since they messed up the first time. Should being the key word though. Perhaps you should call before you stop in.

There is a way to manually reset it. I don't remember where I saw it...it's a large internet out there. Probably Bimmerfest.

press down the S/R button on your instrument cluster and turn the key to the first position (the airbag light will just be on), keep holding the button until you see the mileage for service due. Let go and represss the button until it blinks, let go again, and tap the button, and it should reset....

if its too confusing, just stop by the dealer, takes 2 seconds
