Sottozero 3 on F8X

Has anyone run the Pirelli Sottozero 3s on their M3/M4? How are they? There are several good high-powered RWD reviews on Tire Rack (650i, Mustangs). I live Utah so I'll have them on for at 3-4 months out of the year.

Also, this may be a dumb question, but will a 40mm sidewall fit with my 19s or am I restricted to the 255/35/19? Only about a 1/4" difference.

The middle number is not the height in mm. it is a ratio / percentage of the first number AKA section width. So no, a 255/40/19 is too tall, roughly 1/2'' too tall, and is not recommended due to rubbing and / or disrupting how the stability control works.

Thanks I guess I've always had that wrong on the sidewall measurement. I had always thought they were measuring a certain part of the sidewall as opposed to the full thickness, but this makes more sense.
