Has anybody coded there A/C to not turn on unless you want to turn it on? If so are you experiencing anything weird. Thank you.

Does it not remember the setting when you turn it off or are you saying the AC kicks on when you start it no matter what?

It sounds like it is trying to kick on. It makes a rumbling kind of noise that it shouldn't and I know it is the vents because as soon as I turn it on the noise goes away. If I don't turn it on the noise lasts for about 5 to 6 seconds then stops. What do you think?

BMW have changed the AC to come on regardless of on or off switch. They are so so stupid for doing this

I have mine coded to remember the last setting. When I have the vehicle plugged in, sometimes I hear fans running in the engine compartment. I do not hear anything coming from the vents while driving.

Mine remembers the last setting, which is off. I didn't have to code it. It has been that way since day one.

you can code it in module IHKA
Setting 3000 IHKA_Codierdaten - MEMORY_UMLUFT and OFF_MEMORY

it remembers last a/c setting and recirculating (is this the right word?) setting.
please note that this coding has a "little issue". on start of your car AC is going to recalibrate under 1500RPM for ~ 1 minute (ac will blink) and then it turns off.
