Damn all look good on black.

For some reason, OEMs look better than the LMR

1. 219
2. 359
3. LMR or trade for LM's

yeah, I don't like the LMs on this car either. I think it's too shiney and I don't like the "dish" on it either. Maybe another version of the LM would looks better? Or perhaps the RG-Rs? The OEM wheels aren't the hottest things ever, but they just go with the car. Maybe the 359s powder coated in a darker color would the best of all worlds?

those LM-Rs need spacers. what specs are they? e46 fitment?

For the money, you can't beat a clean set of used 359s. LMs and LM-Rs are one of my favorite designs, but if i'm paying $3k+ it needs to be e9x M3 fitment.

219 for track look, ZCP wheels for OEM plus and lm-r for show car. I pick 359s but I might be biased lol

Thanks everyone for participating in my poll.

Based on everything I have read on this forum, the results of this poll are exactly as I expected, with the 359's emerging as the overwhelming favorite. I have come to realize that there are a lot of OEM purists on here that are loyal to the OEM wheels and feel like the 359s and 219s were designed with this car in mind. As they should, they are outstanding wheels for sure.

However, having owned all three, the 359's and 219's (while really nice) IMHO are not as nice as the LM-Rs. On a side note, I do think the LM-Rs are much better in person than in the pics...not to mention they are infinately easier to clean. To me the LM-Rs are perfection and once I add 12 or 15mm spacers to the fronts in the spring, they will be perfect. As you know, when buying used, you can not always dictate your offsets. They are ET 28s on 8.5" wheels, 359s are ET 25 on 9.0" wheels, nothing a quick spacer can't sure up. Also, once I get my BBK, I feel the LM-Rs will show the BBK better than OEM...which gives me a good topic for another poll....What color BBK should I get red or yellow on jet black?

This poll proves just how subjective wheel preference is, and how passionate the OEM faithful are...but it is all personal preference. For example, black wheels do not really appeal to me, and as such I wouldn't put them on my car, but many people absolutely love them. Also, some people despise chrome (give me the bling baby) and some people don't like the dish effect of wheels with lips, it's all personal taste. It's like car color, AW is very popular, and is very nice, but give me jet black any day. The good news for the 219's faithful, in about a month, I will be mounting those for the winter.

Again, just a fun poll to get the pulse of the M3 community.
