what EXACTLY made you buy this car...

I was looking at the 3 series, and saw the Z and tried it on for size. It drove/responded so nicely on the test drive. It was so much fun, and fun was what i needed that i ditched the practical side of me and went for it.

Why did you buy the Z, what caught your attention?

Handling... Running highway ramps at 120km/h with the salesman telling me I drive like his Grandma was another kicker.

So was doing 230km/h on the highway and the salesman saying.. feels like 180...

The test drive was all I needed. I had to have one.

+1. I wasn't really even looking at them and the SA said let's just take it for a test drive. I got in and he was driving. Took it on a non populated really twisty industrial backroad... at 85 mph. That is all I needed to fall in love with the car.

After running home to change my underwear I bought the car

I'm slapping my summers back on this weekend, I can't stand waiting anymore!

Hopefully your handling will be resolved.. I really find it odd that it jumps at 80mph, especially when mine is rock solid and smooth sailing in excess of 120mph.

Main reason I purchased mine is my love of roadsters - reason I chose the Z4 is because my 1.9 Z3 was so amazing I figure the 3.0 Z4 had to be at least just as amazing. Plus, I kept trying to look at other cars (E46 330i performance, Boxster S, etc.) and nothing else seemed as interesting or got me as, excited.

Yah, I was toying with the Nissan Z. And I just yesterday spoke to an Audi TT owner of a convertible, he said the TT drove nicely, but little things were breaking on it. I definitely made the right choice purely by accident...never been happier.

Saw the car at the 2006 Paris Auto Show. Fell in love with it instantly.

Came back home and test drove the car (3.0si, actually). That sealed the deal.

Never looked back after I signed the papers for the M.
