question on creaking from car
my car seems to make a loud creaking noise when going over bumps, or dips. is this normal? it sounds like it's going front to back.
any help? |

It's normal. Still happens with 14.5K on my '07 3.0si.
edit: If you have RFT tires try replacing them with good summer tires. I hear it helps immensely. I still have the original tires on myself so I wouldn't know. The car has rattled since it was brand new. I am pretty much used to it now. Not much of a sacrifice for the performance IMO.

If you're concerned about riding on bad / dying shocks, I'd suggest test driving a new one, or dealer's CPO stock, as a comparison point. That way you can know what is "normal" and if your car is outside of those bounds.
