Thoughts on Individual Azurite/Taupe/Scotch 2017 X5M ???
Hey guys - I am strongly considering changing my order from DG/Amaro to Azurite on Taupe with Scotch headliner and Sen wood.
Take a look at the pic and leave any comments. I think this is a very unique combo for the X5M - although its not very "sporty", I do think it exudes class. I believe the Scotch Brown headliner may be a $0 cost option with the "stock" Individual Full Taupe Merino option for $2900. Azurite is $1900 and the Sen trim is pbly $700. My primary concern of course is the dark paint and its maintenance (swirls, etc.) - so I would definitely have to get it ceramic coated to at least try to keep minor surface imperfections from being glaringly obvious as they usually are on dark paint. Anyone with comments or experience with Azurite/Taupe please chime in! Last edited by NikonMan; 10-25-2016 at 04:25 PM.. Reason: adding taupe indiv stock photo |

The color accuracy from the BMW configuration is just atrocious. They really need to re-build it with actual photos. Thanks for looking !!!! |

azurit - i like dark colors especially mixed with blue note. azurit is my favorite color.
you have to clean taupe notably in winter seassion, in my opinion to much work - remember how fast you streak leather with shoes. what about nutmeg in combo with your trim? it's a bit darker and it fits to your choosen trim. other way would be amaro |

I'm not usually a fan of wood in car interiors but that looks really great.

Taupe seems nice. I actually considered it when getting mine. I just couldn't pull the trigger as I wasn't sure how accurate the pictures on line were and the dealer didn't have samples or cars with it. At the end, I ordered smoke white which I like very much. Maintenance isn't that bad. I protected it with Leathermaster protection cream. Once every few weeks, I use an interior detailer (Meguiars) to wipe it down to clean the dirt and any die transfer.

Sensa trim is a $1080 option. Azurite is a $1950 option. I have Azurite/Smoke. Taupe is a great color. Certainly easier to keep clean than smoke white. I think it would look great with the scotch brown. It's a rich color and warm. Certainly on the elegant side, not the sporty side. Good luck with the combo. Azurite is phenomenal. |
