Thoughts on Individual Azurite/Taupe/Scotch 2017 X5M ???

Hey guys - I am strongly considering changing my order from DG/Amaro to Azurite on Taupe with Scotch headliner and Sen wood.

Take a look at the pic and leave any comments.

I think this is a very unique combo for the X5M - although its not very "sporty", I do think it exudes class.

I believe the Scotch Brown headliner may be a $0 cost option with the "stock" Individual Full Taupe Merino option for $2900.

Azurite is $1900 and the Sen trim is pbly $700.

My primary concern of course is the dark paint and its maintenance (swirls, etc.) - so I would definitely have to get it ceramic coated to at least try to keep minor surface imperfections from being glaringly obvious as they usually are on dark paint.

Anyone with comments or experience with Azurite/Taupe please chime in!

I really like that combo! Super classy and elegant. I really like the darker exterior colors on the X5.

What seats are does? They dont look like X5/X6M seats!

Nah they are just a generic "true color" pic of the Taupe Merino from the BMW Individual website ...

The color accuracy from the BMW configuration is just atrocious. They really need to re-build it with actual photos.

Thanks for looking !!!!

azurit - i like dark colors especially mixed with blue note. azurit is my favorite color.

you have to clean taupe notably in winter seassion, in my opinion to much work - remember how fast you streak leather with shoes.

what about nutmeg in combo with your trim? it's a bit darker and it fits to your choosen trim. other way would be amaro

I have a white interior and maintenance is a breeze. Once a month I wipe the seats down with Swissvax and any die transfer or dirt comes right off.

OP- great combo.

I'm not usually a fan of wood in car interiors but that looks really great.

Taupe seems nice. I actually considered it when getting mine. I just couldn't pull the trigger as I wasn't sure how accurate the pictures on line were and the dealer didn't have samples or cars with it. At the end, I ordered smoke white which I like very much. Maintenance isn't that bad. I protected it with Leathermaster protection cream. Once every few weeks, I use an interior detailer (Meguiars) to wipe it down to clean the dirt and any die transfer.

Zero4 its funny you say that as I cannot locate any dealer in Southern California with a Taupe interior either so I have been having anxiety over it as well - imagining that when the car gets here and somehow the color is atrocious looking.

Here are some Smoke White pics from an X6M at a local dealer in case anyone is looking now or in the future ....

Thanks for looking journeyguy - you think the Taupe is that much different from the Smoke White? It looks like its just a few shades darker.

Very nice color combination... the wood grain adds the extra level of bespoke class.

Scotch brown is a no cost option only with the Taupe.
Sensa trim is a $1080 option.
Azurite is a $1950 option.

I have Azurite/Smoke. Taupe is a great color. Certainly easier to keep clean than smoke white. I think it would look great with the scotch brown. It's a rich color and warm. Certainly on the elegant side, not the sporty side.

Good luck with the combo. Azurite is phenomenal.
