Issues with passenger seat belt arm

My 2009 e92 M3 passenger seat belt arm doesn't extend at all. I have pulled the panel off and manually extended the arm, and it will retract fully when the door opens, but fails to extend outward when the door closes. Any advice? The drivers side works perfectly

I coded mines off so I don't have to deal with issues like you are experiencing. You probably need a replacement.

I replaced the whole motor assembly and wrist section. So you think it may be a coding issue? As in the previous owner coded it out?

Possible it could be coded out. Also check your fuses.

I'm about to the point where I will getting my coded out, they are neat for a while until they don't grab the seatbelt 90% of the time.

If one side works and the other doesn't, its not a coding issue. You can't code out just 1 side.
