Ever not driven your car for 10 days?
Well, I just came back from 10 day SEMA/SoCal trip, and although I enjoyed the vacay, having to drive a bigass infiniti QX80 for 10 days was a drag. I was really missing my E90, especially when driving through Malibu Canyon...
Long story short, I love SoCal, but I was really excited to get behind the wheel of my M3 again! The car is just so exciting at any given situation. So proud to own this car... PS. Currently digging through about 1500 pictures from SEMA so stay tuned for updates from me. The show was beyond epic! |

Winter storage here. 4 or 5 months at a time without driving the beast. I save winter time for mods and maintenance so I'm still interacting with the car. Keeps me somewhat sane but its a long 5 months for sure.

only time the M won't be daily driven is when I see snow LOL. I went a full week w/o driving last week for SEMA and was itching to get back on it. Surprising how it still leaves a smile on my face after all these months.

Went on a 15 day trip all over Northern California 2 weeks ago with a rented base model 4Runner. Wish I had had my M3 on those roads. 1994 miles of twisties. Getting back in my car when I got home was like getting it for the first time all over again. Smelled like brand new, too!

I store mine each winter as well. It's sad, and I do miss it.

Even worse than in Sweden as it seems, well south ish Sthlm area that is. Had mine out for the first two winters but plan to be more restrictive this time. Missed putting winters on in time so shes waiting in the garage for a dry day to get it done. A week now, major itch already...

car will be fine, but the more you drive it, especially how an m3 is meant to be driven, the better. |

I drive mine maybe once every couple of weeks on average during the warmer months.
For example, I've put 8000 miles on it in three years.

Oh yeah, when away on business she's dormant. Usually 2 wk's a pop, at least 2x's per year. The only action she gets during my trips away are from a battery tender. Absence makes the heart grow fonder though.

4-5 months? Huh? Perhaps you didn't read the fine print when you bought the car, page 82, 2nd paragraph: "...The m3 is a fine automobile which MUST be driven hard at least once a fortnight, UNLESS the owner is incapacitated due to illness, or adverse conditions. Failure to adhere to these regulations, MAY cause the owner to forfeit the automobile..."

I have not driven my car in 10months. I left Lebanon for work but will be back for new years for like 10 days and I'll get to know her all over again. My best friend also got a Mercedes GTS which I'll get to drive there... Needless to say I'm a bit hyped!!

I work from home, take a car service when I need to go to the airport, and typically take my SOs SUV when I need to take short trips around town. I regularly go for weeks without driving the car. I keep it hooked up to a battery maintainer so it's ready to go whenever I get the itch to take it for a spin.
I think I'm at week 3 of not driving the car. I'm looking forward to hopefully taking it out this weekend. |
