Help: Is there a way to reprogram the key for the remote top operation?

For a definite solution, which I believe is a packaged version of the same fix above, you can order a module from Reinhold Engineering, but they don't ship to the US. If you've got a friend outside the country, you can have it shipped to them and let them forward it to you.

I just ordered a remote operated top module from Tectronics. They will ship to US for 35 euros.

not for the 03. remote DOWN became available on 04+

To add to BlackSapphireZ, it only comes in 04 models built AFTER April. Mine was a Jan 04 car and it does not have the remote roof down feature.

I thought that it was programed into the car and the key on all Z4's and is done by the dealer. Im gonna take my car by my dealer and have them program it, the SA quoted me at around $50.

hee hee...mine was July of 04 and it DOES work...in fact as i've said before I showed the function to my salesperson who thanked me.
