Please make sure to drive a DCT in stop-and-go traffic before making the switch. I actually find the DCT to be a bigger PITA when compared to a M/T in heavy traffic. Once stopped, the DCT car will not inch forward when you lift the brake like in a normal A/T. You have to give it gas to start moving, then ride the brake which makes it want to stop again. If you get it rolling and don't touch the brake, the car will drive at a constant speed of around 10 mph which is too fast in most stop-and-go situations. In a M/T you can regulate your speed much better by working the clutch. Just food for thought.

I have never used a DCT in traffic! This is just one of the reasons for making the switch .... not a huge part of it.

I've driven both in heavy stop and go traffic and other conditions as well and the DCT is not only easier but superior overall...
Different strokes for different folks!
