excuse my ignorance but what does 5/34th mean? i know a lot about cars, tire tread gauging is not one those things.. and i'm only interested in the 255/35/19 if you'd be willing to separate...

Last I heard, minimum of any area on face of tread below 4/32 will not be accepted for lease return.

Considering that single measurement tire tread is usually in center and edges are often less thread (because of alignment, pressure and cornering) and there are differences on front and rear on staggered setups, " about 5/34" might mean you want to get much more detailed info as about isn't an acceptable measurement for lease return nor is /34".

Yep thanks for the assist GCinFLA

COrrect, it's the wear and tear on the tire. I'm assuming many people leased their cars here. BMW requires 4/32 at least for a lease return or they charge you per tire to replace

That's why many people take off their tires when it gets close and put them back on before return.

I wanted to have more fun so I took these off around 7k-8k miles only as I was running Michellin PSS wider tires (the 265/295 combo) for a while so there should be at least 5/32 left.

You are right more info and details may be required. I'll try to take pics and update this

@nlakind

pm me an offer for the 255 and I'll let you know

update

Updating thread with pics and updates
All tires between almost 6/32 thread left

Should be able to last 10k miles depending on driving
Or you can use it as your lease return

there's 1 tire with 2 patches, another with 1 tire, the other 2 are perfect
All professionally fixed at America's tire, had no issue driving around

Asking local pick up in Irvine. $450 for ALL 4
usually these retail at $400-$500 installed, so around $1600-$2000
