2014 x5 bumper trim falls off

Hey guys, just picked up a 2014 CPO x5 for the wife. We went to the movies and came out and I noticed one of the little trim guys was gone, and the other was barely hanging on. It's number 5 in the pic. It didn't look like anyone hit the car, and I'm pretty sure she hasn't run into anything yet. Is that a known issue with this piece of trim? Do any of the other trim pieces fit?

Pics aren't working, I'm afraid.

Not a known issue. Those pieces are hold on to many clips. It is possible to unclip those just by sticking your hands in a hole underneath the car. Its not easy but i assume they probably gave up on the second one.

That or you got bumped enough to compress the bumper cover and dislodge the piece.

I have a 2015 X5 and that little trim piece fell off for me the day I brought it home brand new from the dealer. I was turning into my neighborhood and heard a clang. I didn't think much of it, and drove another couple hundred feet to my driveway. You can imagine my surprise when I was looking the car over and noticed the missing trim piece. Then I remembered the clang and I walked back down the road to find the missing trim piece. I was happy that another car hadn't come along and destroyed it, but rather dismayed that I needed to ask the Google man how to reattach a trim piece to a car that I just drove off the lot. So, I imagine that this is a weak spot in the assembly process.
