Heads up display setting doesn't hold

Ok, I'm 2400 miles away from my X5 at the moment. My wife keeps having an issue where the HUD vertical adjustment doesn't stay where she adjusts it between uses.

From the manual I found online I get this:
Adjusting the height
On the Control Display:
1. "Settings"
2. "Head-Up Display"
3. "Height"
4. Turn the controller until the desired height
is reached.
5. Press the controller.
Settings are stored for the profile currently used.

So she does this and it still reverts to a lower height each time she gets in the X5.

Any ideas? I'm baffled and it is frustrating not being able to just sit in the X5 and fool with it to see if some step is being missed or something else is going on.

Thanks!

This happens to me between key fob switches, i.e. My wife's key and mine. I asked the dealer to update the iDrive S/W, but they don't believe in flashing unless its called for by a TSB, etc.
One thing that may be linked is using CA to lock/unlock vs the key fob. They told me to use the fob and see if that works. Haven't really noticed a big change as it still happens from time to time.
I end up just using the seat memory to pull the HUD back up to where I set it (vs my wife).

Ok. Odd that it doesn't happen to me (#2 on settings list) but it happens to her (#1 on settings list).

Happens to me! If she saves the HUD setting to the Memory seats then it'll stay!
Just set the height then click "Set" and whichever number she's saved her seat on.
