How much boost before new charge pipes
most likely going a very conservative tune or piggy back. Not a JB4
most piggys raise around 2-3 PSI. Do i need new charge pipes? |

We've seen damaged charge pipes on stock boosted vehicles, there's no definitive way to tell whether you'll be a statistic or not. Consider any mods pushing you further into that zone. Aftermarket charge pipes are merely cheap insurance for those running higher boost.

You should be fine with up to +4 PSI (no guarantee though, i have seen it fail on stock boost)

It's usually not a matter if but when. If you are going to tune definitely consider the charge pipe upgrade. If you are stock, I'd naturally wait for them to break. It's less likely they break stock but they still do in fact crack on stock vehicles.
